October 9, 2020Press Releases

Strategic decision enables customers to maintain service operations during current work-from-home mandates and for future social distancing requirements

Bangkok, Thailand and Petach Tikva, Israel (May 27, 2020) – Tikal Center, the innovative developer of business communications technologies for intelligent call center operations and services, and Teleinfo Media PLC. (TMC), the leading provider of outsourced contact center services for businesses in Thailand, today jointly announced that TMC has expanded its usage of the Cloud-based Tikal Call Center to maintain the service operations of its customers while its call center agents work from home under ongoing social distancing restrictions.

TMC is one of the fastest growing providers of outsourced call center services in Thailand and a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Information Services (AIS), the largest mobile operator in Thailand.

TMC began working with the Tikal Call Center two years ago as part of a strategic executive decision to transition its outsourced call center service to the Cloud. During this time, TMC has moved many of its existing customers from a legacy system to the Tikal Call Center and now onboards all newly acquired customers to the Tikal Call Center.

This strategic decision to move its outsourced call center service to the Cloud and expand its usage of the Tikal Call Center has allowed TMC to continue providing uninterrupted and high quality service during the Coronavirus outbreak and allow customers to maintain their service operations during the current work-from-home scenarios.

In compliance with ongoing government mandates regarding social distancing, a majority of TMC’s staff are currently working from home. The modern web-based architecture of the Tikal Call Center allows TMC managers, supervisors and agents to securely access and run the system functionality, including all reporting, monitoring and call recording capabilities, from any web browser.

These TMC agents that are working from home are assigned remote access from their managers and are connecting to the Tikal Call Center over a secure VPN connection. Using the Tikal Call Center softphone installed on their laptops and other mobile devices, TMC agents are continuing to receive inbound calls and make outbound calls at home or any remote location as if they were in the office. The Tikal Call Center has also been configured so that TMC agents can be transferred internal and external calls to their mobile phones over all available network connections.

Kamolkarn Niltasuwan, Managing Director of Teleinfo Media in Thailand

“Our Cloud strategy has established a solid foundation for improving the call center services we provide to both our large enterprise and small business customers,” said Kamolkarn Niltasuwan, Managing Director of TMC. “Tikal is a key partner in the success of delivering our services from the Cloud and strengthen our leadership position in the market for outsourced call center services, even in the current situation of the Covid-19 crisis.”

“Today, the service operations enabled by a call center can be considered critical infrastructure for maintaining business continuity during the current work-from-home scenarios and for future social distancing requirements,” explained Doron Dovrat, CEO of Tikal Center. “TMC and its Cloud-based strategy are clearly the future of call center operations and services.”

PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE:

Sol Chip introduces autonomous wireless solar tag for improving precision agriculture and smart irrigation

October 8, 2020Press Releases

Sol Chip Comm enables data-driven optimizations for reducing water consumption and improving crop yields

Haifa, Israel (December 6, 2016) – Sol Chip, an innovative provider of Internet of Things (IoT) systems and energy harvesting solutions, today announced the introduction of its Sol Chip Comm autonomous, wireless, solar tag for enabling precision agriculture and smart irrigation.

The Sol Chip Comm (SCC) device is an ultra-compact, maintenance-free, solar-powered, wireless tag. SCC powers, controls and wirelessly connects a wide variety of sensors to the Cloud.

In precision agriculture and smart irrigation applications, SCC feeds real-time data readings from up to hundreds of agriculture-related sensors, including those that monitor soil moisture, soil temperature, ambient temperature, air temperature, nutrients levels and more, into a precision agriculture application server. This essential data gathered by SCC is analyzed by a precision agriculture application in order to make data-driven adjustments for optimizing water and fertilization consumption and improving crop yields.

The new Sol Chip Comm (SCC) solar wireless tag for precision agriculture and smart irrigation

Sol-Chip and its new SCC device significantly lower the barrier for the adoption of precision agriculture and smart irrigation. Based on Sol Chip’s innovative energy harvesting technology, SCC is solar-powered and designed to operate continuously for more than ten years with no maintenance requirements, removing the need to constantly replace and discard batteries. As a wireless device, SCC eliminates the significant costs and time associated with deploying and maintaining wires to connect the deployed sensors. SCC’s small size makes the product easy to install and move around any agriculture-related environment, while being unobtrusive and not prone to theft. In addition, the low cost of SCC makes the deployment of wireless sensors for agriculture purposes to be financially accessible.

“Precision agriculture is definitely the future of agriculture,” said Avi Schweitzer, CTO at Netafim, the global leader in smart drip and micro-irrigation solutions. “Sol Chip has the right approach that will turn the promises of precision agriculture and smart irrigation into reality.”

“With our LightBattery technology, Sol Chip is uniquely positioned to realize our vision of enabling billions of autonomous IoT devices for many different market sectors in a way that is cost effective and environmentally sustainable,” explained Dr. Shani Keysar, founder and CEO of Sol Chip. “Our new SCC device clearly demonstrates these qualities for precision agriculture and smart irrigation and we are working on more applications for additional market sectors.”

In addition to precision agriculture and smart irrigation, Sol Chip’s SCC device can be applied to smart cities, smart grids, asset tracking and similar applications.

Sol Chip is currently offering an evaluation kit for precision agriculture and smart irrigation, which includes two SCC solar tags, two sensors, a wireless gateway, all the necessary accessories, access to third party web server and support. The components of the evaluation kit are pre-integrated, enabling the evaluation kit to be rapidly deployed for testing in an open field or greenhouse.

Sol Chip will be demonstrating the SCC device at the Irrigation Show in Las Vegas on December 7-8 at Booth 1446.

SERVICE PRESS RELEASE:

Oculeus launches new real-time telecoms fraud protection service

October 7, 2020Press Releases

New Oculeus-Protect service allows enterprises to directly protect their communications networks against PBX hacking and toll fraud

Frankfurt, Germany (December 5, 2018) – Oculeus, a leading provider of innovative telecommunications solutions, today announced that the company has launched Oculeus-Protect, a new real-time telecoms fraud protection service for enterprises. Oculeus-Protect is a Cloud-based service that directly protects enterprise PBXs and voice telephony networks from hacking and fraud risks.

According to the Communications Fraud Control Association, telecoms fraud caused approximately $29.2 billion in fraudulent charges last year alone of which over $3.8 billion in financial losses was attributed to various types of PBX hacking and toll fraud on enterprise communications networks.

“There is a clear and definite need for our new telecoms fraud protection service,” stated Arnd Baranowski, CEO of Oculeus. “In many places, the burden of proving and even paying for the false charges resulting from telecoms fraud are on the enterprise and relying solely on the telco for protection is not sufficient.”

Arnd Baranowski, CEO of Oculeus

Oculeus-Protect is a real-time telecoms fraud protection service that provides enterprises an intelligent and automated framework to efficiently prevent false charges resulting from unauthorized usage of enterprise telecommunication channels by cybercriminals and other perpetrators of telecom fraud. The service can block fraudulent telecommunications traffic within milliseconds and is completely independent of an enterprise’s telecommunications service provider and its telecoms fraud prevention efforts.

Oculeus’ new telecoms fraud protection service runs from regional Cloud environments launched by the company. The service is now available throughout Europe, North America and South America and will be available in other regions in mid-January 2019.

Oculeus-Protect is accessible through a quick and straightforward registration process. During this process, the enterprise’s PBX systems are registered and configured so that the signaling flows of calls are monitored. After this registration and configuration is completed, the service immediately protects the enterprise’s voice communications against PBX hacking and toll fraud without any impact on the quality of the calls.

“Our service runs like an antivirus system on a laptop with no noticeable impact on the speed or quality of the enterprise’s existing voice communications,” added Baranowski. “Any suspicious calls from outside the enterprise are detected immediately and those confirmed to be fraudulent are instantly blocked.”

The technology behind Oculeus’ service begins providing protection by profiling the enterprise’s communications network and building a baseline of expected telecommunications activities. The technology then continuously monitors the enterprise’s communications network for traffic anomalies and other patterns that are typical of telecoms fraud. Any suspicious traffic is immediately sent to a fraud detection engine, which is also located in Oculeus’ Cloud environment, and if confirmed to be fraudulent, is blocked instantly.

“Defense-in-depth is a wise practice considering today’s threat-rich digital world. In countries like the US, the enterprise is actually financially responsible when fraudsters highjack your PBX and dial up a $40,000 bill over a weekend,” said Dan Baker, Director of Technology Research Institute, a market research firm that follows the fraud control software market. “In a simple and transparent way to achieve defense-in-depth, the new Oculeus service provides very affordable insurance at the same annual cost of protecting two PCs with antivirus software.”

Enterprises registering for this service also have online access to an individual portal illustrating the state of the telecoms fraud protection activities as well as a range of reports detailing the enterprise’s voice communications activities.

Oculeus is offering this new service based on a monthly fee and is priced according the number of PBX devices that are protected.

For more information about Oculeus’ new live telecoms fraud protection service, please visit www.oculeus-protect.com.

MARKET DEMAND PRESS RELEASE:

Nemesysco reports increased interest for its voice analytics technology for remote employee wellness monitoring

October 4, 2020Press Releases

New customers cite need to ensure business continuity while employees work from home during Coronavirus outbreak and for new realities afterwards

Kadima, Israel (April 7, 2020) – Nemesysco, a leading provider of voice analytics technologies and solutions for genuine emotion detection, today announced that the company has been experiencing significantly increased traction for applying its voice analytics technology for remote employee wellness monitoring since the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

In recent weeks, millions of employees around the world have been forced to work from home for the foreseeable future in conditions that are severely impacting their individual and team productivity. Even though technologies for remote employee collaboration, such as video conferencing and virtual shared working spaces, are enabling businesses to continue working, managers are unable to fully understand and measure how these new conditions are impacting the performance and overall state-of-mind of their employees.

Illustrative image of Nemesysco's voice analytics technology for remote employee wellness monitoring.

Nemesysco’s voice analytics solution for monitoring employee wellness is built around the company’s core Layered Voice Analysis (LVA™) technology. The LVA technology is designed to reveal the genuine emotional state of a person by detecting and measuring uncontrolled psychophysiological changes to a person’s voice during open conversations.

For remote employee wellness monitoring, the LVA technology runs in the background during real-time or recorded conversations with employees. The technology initially establishes a baseline for each monitored employee and monitors for changes in emotions relevant to the workplace, such as stress, frustration, fatigue motivation and enthusiasm.

“We have been a channel partner of Nemesysco here in Hungary for many years and the human resources space is currently the strongest market we are serving” said György Kis, CEO at ANIMA Polygraph Ltd. “Many of our customers, especially in the banking and insurance sector, who traditionally use the Nemesysco technology to improve their recruiting processes, are now applying the technology to better understand the mind set of their employees who are now forced to work from home in a critical effort to maintain the continuity of their businesses and the services they provide.”

“This strong interest we are currently experiencing for remote employee wellness monitoring is coming from both government organizations and enterprises across the Far East, India, Europe and Mexico. Many of our call center customers have also recently expanded their use of our voice analytics technology to monitor the emotional wellness of their agents who are now working remotely from home,” explained Amir Liberman, CEO of Nemesysco. “These new customers initially approached us with the immediate need to ensure business continuity as they rapidly transitioned their employees to work from home and many are also telling us that they want to be prepared for the new realities of remote working that will likely continue afterwards.”

In an effort to help businesses and government organizations to ensure business continuity while their employees are working from home and other remote locations, Nemesysco is currently offering a free, no obligation trial of its recently released InTone solution. The company notes that InTone is intended for call center environments and has been recently adapted for remote employee wellness monitoring to support the needs of customers during the Coronavirus outbreak.
